If last week we found that serving sucks when you lose focus, what happens when you get it right? To continue our series we will be looking at the life of John the Baptist who, unlike Moses and Elijah, never performed a single miracle in his entire life. Even so, Jesus said "Truly, I say to you, among those born of a women there has arisen no one greater than John the Baptist." We'll learn from John the Baptist that when you get it right: Your identity is clarified, your problems are diminished, your joy is complete and your destiny is secure!

No Place Like Home-Responsibility At Home

• May 6th, 2013

In Christ there is the beautiful fullness of both grace and truth. As followers of Christ we should reflect this mysterious quality as well, but how? The answer is sanctification. In the sanctification process we are responsible for making decisions based on God's word and the leading of the Holy Spirit. It's during this process that we learn the value of Boundaries. Like a fence, boundaries not only protect us from harm but they also give us freedom to live life to the fullest and grow in the likeness of Christ. Know the value of boundaries and experience the freedom of responsibility!

No Place Like Home-Transformational Effect

• April 22nd, 2013

God calls his followers to live a life that is set apart from the rest of the world. Unfortunately, in Ephesians 5 we see that God's standard is impossible to scale. The key to overcoming this problem is Modification vs. Transformation. Our natural response to God's moral standard is to modify our behavior until we feel acceptable to God. However, true transformation comes from knowing that through Christ we are already accepted! Through Christ our identity changes, from "Sons of disobedience" to "Children of light," empowering us to live the life that we were made for.

No Place Like Home-Belong to God-the Father

• April 15th, 2013

This week's sermon will conclude the big question "How can I be at home with God?" The answer lies in the title "Belong to God-The Father." For many of us we see God, not as a father, but as a master who pays us according to our deeds. This leads to a performance based relationship with the focus on the reward rather than the relationship itself. Thankfully, God doesn't want us to see him as merely a master but as a father. This frees us from having to perform and allows us to enjoy an intimate and loving relationship with our creator. This week, don't be just another hired-hand. Belong to God- The Father!
